PAYjr’s central focus is helping young people make the connection between effort, work, discipline and financial reward, which ultimately establishes a lifetime of smart financial habits.

PAYjr was officially founded in August of 2004 but work started on PAYjr back in September of 2001.  The company started with the idea of solving the problem of today’s youth not being able to buy things online in a safe and effective manner.  Once the problem was analyzed, it was realized that not only was there not a safe place online for teens to make purchases but there was also a lack of financial tools.  Several years of sleepless nights and a million lines of code later, PAYjr is now a leader in the industry, providing the world’s first online allowance and chore management system along with innovative hands-on tools such as the PAYjr Visa Buxx^® Card for ages 13 and older.

 

PAYjr, Inc. is headquartered in Frisco, Texas, a suburb of Dallas and we continue to focus on providing smart, practical and easy-to-use online tools that help parents teach children about money management and budgeting.  PAYjr also works closely with banks, credit unions and major youth brands to help create market differentiation with branded and co-branded PAYjr programs. PAYjr supports these institutions in their efforts to educate consumers on a wide range of financial management topics, while driving new accounts and increasing deposits.
